Rockstar Games on Friday officially announced that the first trailer of the highly anticipated game, Grand Auto Theft VI (GTA 6), will be released on Tuesday, December 5th at 9 AM ET.
Following the announcement from Rockstar Games, a seven-second video claiming to be a “first look at GTA 6” was posted by a TikTok account called @i_see_in_4k on Saturday (via UK-based game news site Eurogamer). The short video showcased a metropolitan area of Vice City with a vast cityscape and skyscrapers.
Shortly after the footage was posted to TikTok, GTABase, a site that claims to provide “trusted coverage” about all things Rockstar – posted on X (formerly X) that “in a totally unexpected turn of events, it appears the ‘leaked’ footage has come from the son of a Rockstar Games employee”.

The site further added, “The evidence to suggest the video has come from someone related to the employee in question is fairly convincing. Again, if this is true it’s extremely disappointing that this has occurred so close to the official reveal.”
While the evidence suggests the new leaks of the game may have come from someone related to a Rockstar employee, there could also be a possibility that the source of this leak is from a third party trying to manipulate and spread misinformation about the game.
Rockstar Games, the developer behind the GTA series, has yet to confirm the authenticity of the leaked footage or the involvement of any of its relatives in the leak. With less than a day left before the release of the first GTA 6 trailer, we can expect more such potential leaks or rumors popping up online surrounding the game.
Keep watching this space for more updates, as this is a developing story!
